I can’t emphasis enough how much fun we have when in the kitchen! Cooking is one of the ways to encourage creativity, develop fine motor skills, sense of taste, colour; it helps with language development and self-confidence.

Our recipe is very simple:

1 egg

1 cup of water

salt

enough flour

(For egg-free option, just exclude the egg)

Make the dough, knead it, divide into pieces. Roll it out in a circle and cut into strips. Put it on the baking sheet that has been dusted with flour and dry at around 160C till starts getting light brown. You can power freeze the noodles in the freezer on a tray before drying in the oven and then put them in a zip lock. Or you can cook them immediately.

My daughter thoroughly enjoyed making the noodles and eating them afterwords!
