From today, April 29th, till the end of the week, May 5th,
Creative World of Varya is participating in the Global Screen-Free Week.
This event was created to promote engaging the children and family members into bonding, learning and spending time together without having to stay in front of TV or computers for prolonged periods of time.
Since I have just started an online course to become a breastfeeding consultant, I am under strict deadlines for submitting my lessons. So in order to succeed with screen free week I have made a decision to cut short all over screen time for myself, answer phone calls and messages if necessary (my daughters school also communicates via messages since just a couple of teachers there can speak English but can write pretty well). As for my older daughter, her screen time is very limited and it is hardly 5-6 hours a week – she is pretty busy with her school and we encourage her to engage more into reading, writing and arts.
If you are willing to participate fully, or partially, please check out the official website for Screen-Free Week. Follow us on Pinterest and stop by my blog in a week to see what we did this week. I have a few posts scheduled so you will still be getting some updates. However, I won’t be posting anything besides that until after May 5th!
