I am very happy to be back to participating and hosting Kids Co-Op!
This is the first Kids Co-Op I am posting for since I went self-hosting.

Today I would like to introduce to wonderful activity my daughter and I made: Playdough Collage.
It is very simple and can be done with children of different ages as it can be modified to suit the age group.
It is also an activity that should be done under supervision as it involves playdough (which may be a choking hazard) and a plastic knife which, though generally safe, should not be given to children under 3 years old.
You will need:
A piece of white paper of your choice
Playdough (we used our homemade playdough)
Plastic knife
How to make it:
Pinch off small pieces of playdough and flatten them sticking to the paper. Using the plastic knife make a few cuts and shape the ends into the flower petals.
Using more dough, make the middle of the flower and the stems with leaves.
We also make some grass and the sun.
After finishing the activity, I used transparent contact paper to preserve the collage and put it on the wall. The dough dried up after hanging on the wall for 2 months but it still looks fine.

This is a fun way to use play dough! I love the idea of covering it with contact paper after so you can hang it up!
