This post is a short tribute to my sister, Olga, gone too soon.
I often look at my two daughters and my mind takes me back to the past, recalling my relationship with my older sister. We had almost 6 years apart and as far as I remember, she always took care of me, played with me. We shared secrets, we fought, we cried, we made up, we loved each other dearly.
Unfortunately 3 years ago she lost a fight to cervical cancer. She fought hard and she loved the life. But some battles can’t be won.
This is picture of the last time I saw my sister in person (left to right – our mom, me and on my sister):
She left behind two children, one of whom barely knew her as she was diagnosed when the baby was just 7 months old and passed away when she was just over 2 years old. My mother keeps her memory alive and tells both children lots of stories about their mother.
I look at my daughters and I wish for them to grow loving and cherishing each other. I hope they grow being a strong support for one another in everything.

I have been meaning to come back and comment on this post for a while now. I am so sorry to hear about your sister. My sister and I are incredibly close, so I can’t imagine what that would be like to lose her. It’s especially hard to hear about her young children, but as Maryanne said, it’s great to hear that your mother is keeping her memory alive. Thank you for sharing.
